Establishment & Juvenile Maintenance
Young trees require dedicated maintenance programs to reach maturity. Our juvenile tree maintenance includes formative pruning to AS4373, stake and strap adjustments, mulch replenishment, watering schedules and pest and disease monitoring throughout the establishment period.

Ex-Ground Tree Planting & Advanced Stock Supply
Ex-ground tree planting uses field-grown trees lifted with their root ball intact, delivering immediate scale that container stock cannot match. Success depends on three things: how the root ball is prepared, how the tree is handled, and how it is cared for through establishment.
Root-ball preparation
Ex-ground trees are field-grown and lifted directly from the ground, so root-ball preparation is critical. Stock is root-pruned and prepared ahead of lift, then hessian-wrapped and caged to hold the ball intact through handling and transport.
Transport & crane-assisted placement
Advanced ex-ground stock is heavy. We coordinate transport, site access, exclusion zones and crane or excavator-assisted placement so each tree is set at the correct level and orientation in a properly prepared planting pit.
Establishment care
Every ex-ground tree planting includes staking or guying, mulching, a scheduled establishment watering program and formative pruning through the juvenile years — the period that determines survival and long-term form.
